Mike Boris is an award-winning music producer, music supervisor and music strategist with a solid reputation for his unique way of thinking outside the traditional, and bringing exciting innovative ideas to every campaign. Mike’s expertise lies in bringing music and brands together creatively and seamlessly. To date he has worked on over 6,000 commercials.

 

Mike initially cut his music production teeth as an engineer at NYC’s legendary Edison Studios, and at JSM Music as Chief Engineer. He got his start on the agency side as a music producer at Ogilvy & Mather and went on to serve as VP, Head of Music at Bates. And then spent nearly a decade as SVP, Head of Music at McCann Erickson. 

 

Mike has consultedconsults for countless agencies including EP+Co, DiNoto, Munn Rabôt, Johannes Leonardo, DAVID, Digitas, Saatchi, Havas, Y&R, Team One, Pure Red, JWT, HS Ad (LG), Lloyd & Co, Devito Verdi, Carl Byrd, BoomAgers. Impacting big name brands like Puma, TUMI, Dove, MasterCard,Weight Watchers, Kohl’s, Barney’s, Pepsi, Coke, iHome Wendy's, Applebees, INTEL, LÓréal, American Express and Estée Lauder.   

 

Mike has produced music for brands with tons of artists, including Jennifer Hudson for Weight Watchers, Nick Jonas for Acuvue, Jennifer Lopez, Avril Lavigne, Plain White T’s, Lenny Kravitz and Vanessa Carlton for Kohl’s, Sister’s Beyonce and Solonge Knowles for L’oreal, Mark Isham for US Army, Bruce Hornsby for GM and Jimmy Napes for Ferria

 

He has also indie'd it up by working with countless up-and-coming artists over the years who have provided music for different brands. 

 

He teaches a workshop at The Berklee School of Music's Power Station Studio, is on The Alumni Advisory Board for SUNY Oswego School of Communication Media and The Arts, and is on the Board of The Saddle River Youth Theatre.

 

He’s a proud father to two beautiful girls: a ballerina and a musical theatre actor/singer. When he’s not tapping into his drummer roots making sweet noise in his home studio, he’s centering himself in his wife’s yoga classes.
